Our students and faculty members had the opportunity to be on Zee Bangla's singing reality show 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa' The energy was electrifying as they witnessed breathtaking performances, incredible vocal talents, and the behind-the-scenes magic of this iconic musical platform. The show was telecast on 26th January 2025 at 9:30 PM. We thank Zee Bangla for this once in a lifetime opportunity for us to witness the show!

Blood Donation Drive 2025

On International Mother Tongue Day, our students and faculty members donated blood to save countless lives, we salute this humane gesture and we hope it inspires the coming GMITians to donate blood selflessly to help people who are in need

National Science Day

On National Science Day, the students and faculty at GMIT (insert full name of institution if applicable) came together to celebrate the wonders of scientific discovery with an engaging and interactive quiz tailored specifically for first-year students. The event was designed to spark curiosity, encourage learning, and honor the spirit of scientific exploration that National Science Day represents.

Rock Climbing Event

GMIT has taken a significant initiative to promote adventure sports and physical fitness among students by organizing a Rock Climbing Event on 27th February 2025 in our campus. This initiative aims to instil confidence, teamwork, and resilience in our students, preparing them for challenges beyond the classroom. Gargi Memorial Institute of Technology’, Baruipur organized this programme in association with ‘Himalayan Footprints' for first time. There were around a hundred participants and it was interesting to observe how they were eager to take part in each activity. Activities like, Low Rope Climbing, Zip line, Net climbing, Archery, and Artificial rock climbing, were the main features of the day.

Road Safety Week Parade

The NSS Chapter of GMIT organized a Road Safety Week Parade and Awareness Program among the residents of Baruipur. This initiative aimed to educate and sensitize the local population about the importance of road safety, responsible driving, and adherence to traffic rules to reduce accidents and promote safer commuting practices. Topics covered during the sessions included: 1. The importance of wearing helmets and seatbelts. 2. The dangers of speeding, drunk driving, and using mobile phones while driving. 3. Pedestrian safety and the need to use zebra crossings and footpaths. In line with the larger national objective of decreasing traffic accidents and saving lives, the NSS Chapter of GMIT's endeavour was an admirable attempt to build a safer and more cognisant community.

GMIT at Kolkata International Book Fair 2025

GMIT had an amazing interaction session with visitors at the JIS Stall during the 48th International Book Fair. The curios visitors stood to see the amazing performance given by our final year students. The crowd also took part in the quiz hosted by our students! Inaugural Edition of our 3.5 Mile Mini Marathon 2024

GMIT conducted an adrenaline-fuelled "3.5 Mile Mini Marathon 2024" where more than 600 students from different schools and colleges participated. Here we see the winner, Suman Biswas, from Nadia, securing the 1st position and bagging a 190 ml refrigerator for his home.

GMIT campus turned into a hub of innovation for three days when it hosted GEMISHA, 2k24, our very own Tech Fest, where guest colleges participated in Model Presentations, Web Development, Gaming, and Business Idea Presentations. We congratulate all the teams that have won!

The judges, Mr. Bodhisattva Banerjee, Vice Chairman of GMIT, and Ms. Jaspreet Kaur, Director of JIS Group, highlighted the significance of entrepreneurs and aided students in refining their presentations to perfection at the TiE-Kolkata & JIS Group Pitch Competition Powered by Idea-O-Meter.

GMIT observed National Energy Conservation Day 2023, the goal of this day is to highlight the nation's achievements in energy efficiency and conservation. The students were also taught to enhance energy usage and ensure that it is conserved for future generations

GMITians visit JIO Data Centre

The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering at Gargi Memorial Institute of Technology organized an Industry Visit to the JIO Data Center in Salt Lake on September 29, 2023. The delegation comprised 26 students from the 3rd year were accompanied by two faculty members, Mr. Ashis De and Mr. Biplab Ghosh, who represented our institute.
