With the assistance of WBIIDC a summit was organised on 17th January, 2019 in Uluberia Industrial Belt by CDC, where 40 active industries namely Ceratizit, Sait Mine Line, Ellenbarie, Hightech Equipments, Genus Engineering, Hincol, Sintex alongside others participated to build up an efficient academic-industry tie up for training, internships, placements, industrial visits and projects. This meet helped us to get the knowledge about industry demands hereafter moulding the students according to industry needs which eventually benefitted the industry and GMIT exchanging the sources and resources.

WBIIDC - West Bengal industrial infrastructure development corporation formed in 1967 is the body catering to the needs of industrial regions of the state by alloting them lands or sheds to establish industrial units. Till date, it has established 18 industrial growth centres across West Bengal.
